Stone On The Hill - Kallista, Family friendly - Melbourne Description
A spacious 3 bedroom home (plus an attic space) - wonderful house to share with family or friends. Cosy wood fire and central heating with a cool/heat pump in the living area. Fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, full laundry.
Master suite has a gas log fire, an ensuite bathroom and sitting area.
2 bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Lovely gardens to enjoy and walks to Kallista village and forest.

This is a contemporary home with high ceilings, an coonara log fire (and central heating of course!). The main living room is open plan - dining, big comfy leather couches, huge tv and a beautifully equipped kitchen with a full fridge, all cooking facilities, espresso machine and the adjacent laundry holds a large fridge as well as full laundry facilities. The lounge room opens to a beautiful deck with glass railings looking out into the trees.
Three comfortable bedrooms with queen beds. The master suite is downstairs with an ensuite bathroom, a gas log fire and a pair of french doors opening onto the stone steps out to the garden. Bedrooms on the upper level have queen beds and include a shared full bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Upstairs is an attic room which offers an office space and a sofa bed for up to 2 adults at a small additional cost. Please enquire for pricing options
This is a wonderful property to enjoy the unique blend of nature, nurture and a wonderful getaway. Or share it with family and friends for a wedding, a family celebration - or just treat yourself - you deserve this!

Do note that there are multiple stairs from the carpark to the front door, and throughout the house, so is unsuitable for those with mobility difficulties.
WiFi access is included although do note that internet and phone reception in the Dandenong Ranges can be unstable and please understand we have no control over that. If you rely on wifi please bring a backup modem.
Bookings are deemed to be 2 people per room, if you want single occupancy extra charges apply to cover extra cleaning and bed and bath linen.

The majestic rain forest style garden will beg you to get out into nature to enjoy the birdsong. Lots of walking trails from this property - leading you to walk to Kallista where you might want to enjoy breakfast, lunch or endless treats and ecclectic shops - about 10 minutes walk. For the more energetic you can follow the Sassafras Creek trail to Sassafras village (which is just 6 minutes by car) or walk up to Olinda (again a short distance by car).
Nathania Springs, Poets Lane, Marybrooke and Lyrebird Falls wedding receptions are close.
You get the most out of a stay by having a car to get around, and it takes only a few minutes to half an hour to visit most locations in the Dandenong Ranges.
Contact the office for details of a private tour/transfer company operating in the area.
There are buses running between Montrose and Ferntree Gully or Monbulk.
PLEASE NOTE: The lighting of wood burning fires in properties is prohibited on all days of Total Fire Ban at any time of the year. Please refer to the CFA website for further information. If there is no wood and kindling provided at your property, it will be because of this policy. The collecting and burning of twigs, leaves and branches from outside your property is strictly forbidden at anytime.
