With unrivalled sea views and balconies facing out toward Whitby’s West Cliff Beach, Penthouse Pier View is an impressive fourth floor seafront apartment. Suitably named, the apartment has unrivalled views of Whitby’s beach, piers, and the boats in the distance. Renovated to the highest standard, this beautifully styled apartment sleeps three guests across two bedrooms with an open plan lounge/kitchen and boasting two bathrooms/shower rooms making it a perfect choice for coastal getaways. The Space: Penthouse Pier View boasts a stunning navy, shaker style kitchen which is fully equipped for self-catering staycations. Also sharing this space is the dining area which features a solid, stylish wooden table and matching benches. Patio doors open out onto the balcony which showcases the most incredible sea views. Take a seat on the balcony and watch the waves as you enjoy your morning coffee as you take in the sunrise, or even a late tipple where you can watch the sky go dark and the clouds burn orange as evening turns to night. The cosy living area has two modern sofas and a flat screen TV, and still has a magnificent view out onto the North Sea. After a busy day, you can kick back on the sofa and keep up with your favourite shows on freeview or Netflix. Penthouse Pier View has two beautiful bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, comfortable king size bed, decked out in plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have the best sleep possible. Head out the patio doors and out onto a private balcony, where you and a loved one can take in the fresh sea air together. The second bedroom has a single bed with stunning sea views, and while not as large as the master bedroom, still offers a cozy nights sleep in lavish bedding. The family bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, WC and basin. Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in. Please note the apartment is located on the fourth floor and there is no lift in the building. Guests should also be aware that some of the ceilings in the apartment can be quite low. Please note we do not accept bookings for stag / hen parties. Interaction with Guests: We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Neighborhood: Penthouse Pier View is located on the West Cliff just off the North Terrace so you can expect beautiful sea views. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll from the apartment and on Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: Penthouse Pier View is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
