Built in 1852, Rathan House - The Eskbank is based just 7 miles outside of the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. An enchanting guesthouse, it features a sun terrace, a beautiful garden with croquet lawn and free on-site parking. Rathan House has a Thistle award, 4-star quality rating and a 'Taste of Scotland' award from Scottish Tourist Board quality assessment. Authentic Hebridean breakfasts are offered within a 1920's designed dining room that is decorated with 19th century portraits. The breakfast includes fresh fruit salad, porridge cream and honey, and classic Spealtragan. Kintail kippers and fresh Ettrick salmon and 6 other cooked options. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. The charming rooms are equipped with an en suite bathroom with a shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. Local attractions include Edinburgh Castle and St. Andrew Square which are both 22 minutes’ drive away. Arthur’s seat and The Royal Mile are also a short 17-minute car journey away.

Early check-ins between 13:00 - 14:50, evening check-ins is betwwen 17:45-8:30. There are 2 friendly dogs on the premises. Parents must bring their own bed linen for the child's cot.
