This family-run hotel is located in the historic Black Forest village of Todtnau, in a nature conservation area surrounded by wooded mountains. The hotel offers an indoor swimming pool, sauna and a restaurant. Rooms at Hotel Landhaus Sonnenhof are furnished in a traditional country-house style. The rooms are quiet and come with a TV, private bathroom and hand-painted furniture. A rich breakfast buffet is offered. The restaurant also serves local Black Forest dishes, and specialized in locally caught fish and game. Hotel Landhaus Sonnenhof is an ideal base for exploring nearby waterfalls, hiking trails, a historic saw-mill and a barefoot park. It is close to the Feldberg Mountain and the local history museum. Skiing enthusiasts are closed to the Hasenhorn chair elevator (4.8 mi), the FIS double chair elevator (6.5 mi) and the Rothausbahn (6.6 mi).
