I think it's
fair to say that any places that attract birders usually have
much more nature on offer than just the birds. Chiang Dao is no
exception.
This area was
given National Park status/ protection in 1996 and the benefits
of that are visible for all. Butterflies, moths, lizards, snakes
(mostly harmless!) are all here in numbers. Insects of every shape,
size, texture and colour are numerous. Mammals are scarce, but
some have been spotted. Macaque monkeys, squirrels and deer to
name but three. Flora and fauna is also abundant in this area.
