This section
was going to be called walking, but it was pointed out that some
of the walks available locally were a little more demanding than
a gentle stroll, although gentle strolls are possible too.A
couple of the routes available are..
Nature
Trail - A one and a half hour path up the side of the
mountain, through thick forest/ jungle then down to the Chiang
Dao Caves. It is very well marked and not too demanding.
Muang Khong Road - This route follows a paved road, but
there is very little traffic and the untouched forest is breathtaking.
You should be able to get past the National Park checkpoint with
a smile, and up the very steep incline immediately after. One
for the masochists!
